New Year’s Resolutions

Posted on April 01, 2013 by Rachel Robichaud | 0 Comments

It’s only been 5 months, but it’s felt like quite a year. Opening the store in August has been a dream of mine for years and what a journey it’s been. Coming from a social work background, retail was something that never crossed my mind. Life can be fickle and will lead you down paths you never expected. Every day I wake up excited to face a new day at BCM.

We’ve really enjoyed meeting all of our amazing customers and fellow small business owners. Thanks for welcoming us into the community!

So with that said, I’ve decided to make some resolutions for the New Year.  I’m taking what we’ve learned over these past 5 months and will be creating and expanding on a few things that will improve our customer’s experience:

  • Increase our blogs
  • Plan more events
  • Bring in more local artists
  • Continue to search for the most unique gifts
  • Incorporate some vintage finds
  • Keep customers engaged in what’s happening at Bridge City Mercantile
  • Most importantly, for me personally, to remember that family is number one no matter how much I get caught up in the day-to-day running of the store.

Cheers to an exciting and optimistic 2013!

Rachel, Ami and Havi
