Just heading home on the train from Seattle to Portland. Enjoying the view while reflecting on my wonderful trip. Last night the Seahawks won the championship and will be headed to the Superbowl. It was really cool to be in the city during this exciting time as the city was buzzing all weekend. I'm not much of a football fan, but I couldn't help but catch the Seahawk Fever.
The main purpose of my trip was to attend the Seattle gift show. I have to say I found a lot of new goodies for Spring. Here's a small preview of some of the items
that will be arriving in the next couple of weeks.
This beautiful bag is handmade by a fair trade company in Guatemala. There purpose is to provide a living wage to all their artisans.
We will be trying out a new apothocary line by Hidden-Folk. All soaps are one hundred percent natural and made form olive oil, sustainable palm oil, coconut oil and shea butter.
These cute bunny salt and pepper shakers will arrive just in time for Easter.
I am most excited by one of our new handmade jewelry lines called I Am A Bird. This unique reclaimed wooden rabbit necklace is hand painted and set in its own frame.
Bridge City Mercantile was started by Rachel Robichaud after her lifelong dream became a reality in 2012. Rachel is a Portland native and came up with the name Bridge City Mercantile as a homage to the town where she was born and raised. BCM started as an online store and quickly became a Brick and Mortar location. We are currently located in the heart of SE Division shopping district. Our goal is to provide unique gift items while utilizing all the amazing talent we have in Portland.
